First Light Scopes is an independent content site providing buyer guides for beginner telescopes and visual-astronomy gear. No products are sold on this site; all purchases happen via third-party retailers.

No professional advice

Content is for general information. It is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. In particular, solar-viewing safety: never observe the Sun without a certified ISO 12312-2 solar filter fitted over the front of the telescope — improvised filters can cause permanent eye damage. When in doubt, observe the Sun only at a club event with proper equipment.
